Who we are
This website is operated by Segkathume Trading, trading as Fun-dine Spit Braai & Grill (“Fun-dine”, “we”, “us”). We are the responsible party for the personal information described below.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us through this site:
- Booking enquiries: your name, phone number, email address, event date and time, venue/location, guest count and chosen package.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, optional phone number and your message.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser user-agent are recorded with each submission for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. A single session cookie is used only to keep the forms secure (CSRF protection).
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange your event.
- To contact you about your booking (phone, WhatsApp or email).
- To keep records of enquiries and bookings for our legitimate business interests.
- To protect the website against spam and abuse.
We rely on your consent (given when you tick the box on a form) and on our legitimate interest in running the business. We will not use your details for unrelated marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate — for example our website host and email provider — and only as needed to deliver your enquiry to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and booking records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated, rate-limited and stored in a location that is not publicly accessible. Access is limited to the people who need it to run Fun-dine.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- object to a particular use of it.
